The Jamiat ul Muslimin purchased a building at 27 Oxford St, Gorbals, Glasgow to convert it into the first permanent Mosque in Scotland! The Mosque itself was located on the first floor and the ground floor was rented out for the Seamans Club.
Haji Muhammad Kaka, Jamadad Khan, Fakir Khan, Sajawal Khan, Ghulam Muhammed Sharif, Muhammed Ali Azam and Latif Khan each contributed £100 (around £4000 today) to purchase a this building!
