The Dundee community enjoyed a celebration dinner hosted by Colourful Heritage along with various talks from Humza Yousaf MSP, Maariyah Adam, Mr Surinder Singh Saddhu, Mohsin Ali, Mohammed Bashir Chohan and local Dundee representatives.
They reflected on the positive contributions of the early SouthAsian and Muslim communities in Dundee including Scotland’s first South Asian Councillor, Dr. Jainti Das Saggar, who was publicly elected by the people of Dundee in 1936.
