In the footsteps of Force K6

Boots & Beards and Colourful Heritage invite you to join us for a themed hill walk titled – “In the Footsteps of Force K6“.

Force K6 is a regiment of the British Indian Army that was stationed in the Highlands of Scotland during WW2.

Join the themed walk around Glenmore Lodge, Aviemore, to enjoy some fresh air and to learn about this fascinating history. Lunch and transport will be provided.

Programme:

9am – Meetup outside Soulriders 4 Forth Street, G41 2SS (outside Strawberry Garden).

9.30am – Bus Departure

12 noon – Arrival at Kingussie Cemetery

12.30pm – Leave Kingussie Cemetery for Glenmore Lodge

1pm – Arrive at Glenmore Lodge for Lunch & Prayers

2pm – Presentation by Hamish Johnston, local Force K6 expert historian

2.30 pm – Walk with Boots & Beards (optional & weather dependent)

4pm – Back to Glenmore Lodge

4.30pm – Depart Glenmore Lodge

6.30 – 7pm – arrive back Glasgow

Equipment required: Stout footwear, outdoor protective clothing, hats and gloves.
