HERSTORY EPISODE 5: Dr. Saqib Razzaq from Colourful Heritage is in conversation with Mrs. Bushra Iqbal MBE – Equality Advisor at the West of Scotland Regional Equality Council (WSREC) about her inspirational career journey that started nearly 50 years ago after arriving in Glasgow from Pakistan as a young bride in 1969.
In the late 80’s she went on to achieve her Masters degree in Multicultural Education from Glasgow University. In 1994 Bushra founded the North Lanarkshire Muslim Women’s Alliance.
With her interfaith work and involvement in women’s development projects, she continues to tackle some of the most important issues that affect Scottish society today.
