Zubeida Begum describes how she passed three years of married life in Pakistan before having children whilst her husband was in the UK, with the only form of communication through a letter read and written by other members of the family as she was not literate. She demonstrated a great deal of patience during these years and describes her mothers sadness when Zubeida came to the UK. She also shares advice on how to bring up children without spoiling them and ensuring they have a good education both in their studies and their faith.
